There are a few things that I would like to do with the VAG tool, and maybe some others could let us know if it's possible. They are:

a. change the key remote function to unlock all doorswith one button push, then open the windows and sunroof with a second.

2. enable daytime running lights

iii. keep foglights on when high-beams are engaged

D. lower the suspension a little bit

My guess is that a few Audi owners in one locale could chip in on one VAG thingee, and time-share it. Still, I don't want to mess too much with my CPO warranty.

its not vag but looks pretty simple if you really wanted the fogs as daytimes

I've bought the cheapo $10 vag com from Ebay. With it, you can use the outdated Vagcom software.. I forget which version. You are limited.

However I was able to change my lock settings to all unlock with one click.... hold again for all windows down. (no go on sunroof opening so far... however it does close when I hold the lock button) I also changed my locks so they auto-lock at 15mph or something... and they all unlock when I remove my key. I'm not positive, but I believe that those other mods are also possible with the basic vag-com cable. I now own 2 audis.. and plan on owning more audis once these are gone, so I'll probably drop the $$$ for the full Vagcom some day.

Edit: Memory serves something about 'daytime running lights' requiring some extra relays and wiring. I was thinking of a mod with the Vagcom that enables the fogs with high-beams. Haven't tried that one myself... but it's next.

Yes. Check out the link above. There are many choices and combinations of options. If I hit the unlock button on my remote once, all doors unlock. (instead of driver door... then other doors on second click) After that, if Ipress the unlock button a second time and hold itdown... all 4 windows open simultaneously until completely open or I release the button.

Say you walk away from your car and realize that one of your windows is open... or sunroof is open, no problem, just hold the lock button down and the windows will close.
