I recently bought a used A4 for my little sister, now its getting a bad misfire under from stop accel, to about 40 mph when its finally no longer noticable. Shows up mainly under heavy load on the engine i.e. Accel from stop or slow speeds up hills. She had the coil packs replaced before i could get a chance to work on it ( she lives 7 hours away ). I also replaced the #3 Fuel injector because of the codes that it brought up.

I could believe the 16684 error code to be possibly plugs and wires, but the short to ground on injector 3 is what i was hoping for advice for. Thanks for any help

 

Go for the basics, spark plugs wires( spray with water and see if they shooting through) and the coil if after market might be defective,,....
