Default 01 Allroad Tip Question

I have an 01 Allroad and from what I understand the 02+ have a "D" + "S" on their Tip and my 01 only has the "D" + other gears. Is it possible to change with VAG-COM the standard "D" to the "S" in the software for shiftingor would that just be something bad for whatever reason?

"S" stands for sport mode. I use it from time to time, but I mainly use tiptronic.

I'm not sure what you came up with... but my wife has an 03 A4, and it's got the "S" mode. I don't think it's something you'd want to always drive around with. You'll find yourself quite annoyed that you're always hanging around 3k rpm even if you're going easy. (and forget about your mileage)

Sure I wouldn't mind having it on my 01... but if I had to choose one or the other...
