Could you elaborate on the relay? Do you think blauparts would have a replacement? I have had the issue on my A6 for quite some time.

I have not had to change the relay for my fan. The fuse on my fan blew, thus the fan never came on and the car overheated once in the summer. You are getting power to the fan, so the fuse should be good. You could always check and make sure the fuse is good.
Maybe someone could give more information.

The fan controller is supposed to respond to a failed fan by running the other fan at higher speed, so you want to check and see if both fans (the one in front of the radiator and the one behind the radiator) are running. If one is not running, troubleshoot the fan. If both are running, it's probably the controller.
