So I just picked up a 2004 Audi Allroad 2.7T and really like the car. A nice upgrade from my GTI despite going to a Tiptronic transmission at the behest of my wife. I have 2 things I've noticed since driving it.

1. No cruise control. I turn on the switch and no light on the dash (my VW said CRUISE, not sure what the Audi is supposed to do), nothing happens when I hit the Set button either. I'm hoping it's a fuse or relay, but being new to this car and not having a Bentley yet, I am not sure where to start and any pointers would be awesome.

2. Odd sound in dash when starting the car. My wife calls it the Dash Gnome, but it seems to come from the left of the steering wheel and always occurs after I start the car and seems to mostly go away after a spell. Sounds like something plastic groaning or rubbing or an electronic unhappiness noise. It happens when nothing is moving and when driving initially. I don't have the power steering wheel so it isn't that. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced it and knows if it's an issue and how I might fix it.

Figured out the cruise control, stalk is bad so that is being replaced. Still curious about the strange noise in the dash, though. If anyone has had any experience with this as well.
