Hi, I'm working on a V12 motor that came out of a 2005 A8. It has a spun connecting rod and a burnt out piston. When i called the dealer to order the parts, he practically laughed in my face and no aftermarket suppliers i deal with sells these parts. Does anyone have an idea where i can buy them from? Or should i just get a set of custom rods and pistons? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't understand why the parts are not available, I've rebuilt V12 BMW's and Mercedes and never had a problem getting the parts.

 

Well its a W12 not a V12 for starters, so that probably made him laugh a bit. Its like a dual VR6. Two the dealer has it, i have no idea why they wouldn't issue you parts, maybe they didn't like you or something. I have already built a W12 engine so i know the parts exist.
