Just got my new 08 a3 2.0t S line / fully stoked with it.

Question - does anybody know if the stock fog lamp assys. can handle a higher wattage bulb? Since I have the S line - the fog's are surrounded by plastic. I suspect stock is about 55 watts. Wondering if I can put in something a bit stronger without (a.) risking heat damage and (b.) voiding my warranty in the process.

the warranty? now that's the question it doesn't allow any changes to mods

 

Ok - I'd assumed any changes would void warranty to some degree in respect to affected systems . [:'(] To that end - lamps are easilly swapped out before visiting a service dept.

It's really back to my first question - what are the a3 / s line lamp assemblies rated for { since wattage translates heat } before I risk physically damaging my own car by installing a slightly higher wattage in them. { for example: say 65 or 75 watt bulbs }
