A3 2.0 FSi Emission/Engine Warning Light, VAG-COM errors detected
Hello all,
Hoping someone can shed some light on my recent issues.
I have an A3 2.0 Sport FSi 2004, 107k. Owned for 5 years without any problems. Really great car.
A few weeks ago the Emission Control System light came on so I scanned with a VAG-COM eBay system and a mate scanned it with snap-on unit. Both show the same 2 errors:
P1570 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer
P0658 - Actuator Supply Voltage A Circuit Low
Tested the battery and it was below 12.3 volts so replaced it (was also 10 years old) with a brand new unit. I didn't realise before but it was a little slow to crank before the new battery. Reset error codes with snap-on but after an hour of driving the emission light comes on again.
Very grateful for any advise. Have searched the net but no clear opinions have been found.
Cheers, Olly.
