a3 3.2 v6 urgent! help needed
Hi guys i have an audi a3 3.2 v6 and had some problems yesterday. I went home from Bulgaria and suddenly the center display showed low oil pressure then directly the engine turned Off... we didn 't got it started right away but Once the engine cooled off a little it started again... but not for long it turned Off again. So we called a mechanic and got it towed. Once in garage they said the oil pressure sensor was the problem. They putted the car on the computer to read him out. Now today they are replacing it within a new one... can the sensor be the problem to this all? Car runs perfect no oil loss. 140000 km on clock. Nog strange sound in engine what so ever. Wich oil does the engine need? Thanks for the help
Not sure if there is any fail safe shut down routine for no oil being reported. Would think the oil sensor would only have a good & bad state for reporting. Any chance there were several other related error codes recorded? Might help to understand.
The fact that there was no loss of oil is good.
Not sure what oil is recommended for the 3.2 V6, owners manual would list the correct type.
