Greetings folks!

Recently, I bought 2007 A3 2.0 tdi but there is one problem that really annoys me. The car looses radio signal immediately after you start driving. While idling all is well. Also, while driving it helps if I shut the stereo off and switch it on again but that "fix" lasts only for couple of seconds, then it looses the signal again.

AM/FM doesn't really matter.

Is it antenna problem or something else? It's worth pointing out that signal is great when car is stationary even if I'm in an underground garage.

Turns out that car stereo has some kind of antenna line booster attached behind that was loosely connected (something like this). Tweaked it a bit and now it has a clean signal all way trough.

Hope it stays that way.

Guess my little tweak didn't help after all

So the problem is following:

Everything works great until engine is off. When I start the car, radio works for about 5 secs and then the signal is gone. Display and light in the stereo is still working but the signal is just plain static.

I checked the wiring behind the stereo, it's not a loose connection or anything. Seems like the engine starting causes some electrical issue with antenna or smth.
