Has anyone else ever experienced their tiptronic stalling? I was crawling along in traffic today, and when i slowed down I noticed the car was shaking because it was going below 1000 rpm and was about to stall. I slowed down more and the engine cut out. The only way I could continue the journey was to smack it into neutral when i was going really slowly to avoid stalling! Anyone got any ideas? I was thinking maybe it could be cold because I hadn't started it for 3 days, but this was a good 15 minutes into the jouney so I figured the engine had warmed up by then?

wow its a new car so should not happen, idle control valve issue so take it back and get them to check it out

 

Take the car back to the dealer and they can update the software for the Tiptronic. I had that problem on my Tip on a VW many years ago. I'm hoping they can fix yours as easy as mine.

Yeah my 2001 1.8T Jetta /Tiptronic was having the same problem about two years ago and updating the software made quite a difference, although it is not a cheap process to update the software by dealer. The stalling went away, engine felt like it had more HP.
