Can anyone guide me to the best chip for the many and performance? Also ... how is the gas mileage affected by the chip? Besides wanting to gun it all the time ...

Essentially, you can vary the mileage of your car from one extreme to the other based on how you drive the vehicle. A chip will just lengthen that range, allowing you to use both more and less gas than stock, depending on how you drive the car.
