I recently had a service by an independent guy on my 58 plate A3 but he was unable to turn the inspection indicator off (spanner light)

Can anybody help???

Do I need somebody with a diagnostics machine to switch it off?

I'm based in Beds if that helps..............

Not sure what a 58 plate A3 is but.........
If I remember correctly, start with the key OFF. Pull out and hold the right button in the cluster display, and while holding it out turn the key to POS 2 (ON). Release the button and within 5 seconds pull it out again. The service minder should go to all dashes. Release the button and turn the key to off. It should be reset then.

 

Thanks for the reply but I have already done this and it only resets the oil check no that actual inspection???
