I have a 2006 A3 2.0T, and when i am traveling down the road from a stop light or whatever ocationally i hear a lound knock almost a bang from under the car. Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this at all. Any input would be greatly appreciated..

 

Sorry can't help with that one, the only thing I can suggest is if a coil spring/strut is on the way out and settles when you stop then pops up at the front as you accelerate or down at the back. Could be a dry damper or strut but I am guessing here. I had a car that thumped when going over bumps that I was worried about and it turned out to be the spare wheel not fastened down.
If you're worried I'd get it checked out.

Thanks for the input...... It was in fact the spare tire, it was not fastened down tight at all..
