Cliff Notes: The A3 will receive a facelift for the 2009 model year, as well as a cabrio model. The true next-gen A3 will be out in 2012, ahead of the next-gen Golf.
Doesn't sound like the US will be getting 2.0T + Quattro anytime soon.
