10% Ethanol In 93 Octane?
Hey Guys,
I was just looking around Boise Idaho trying to find some 93 octane gas. For my first few tanks I just used chevron 91 octane, but I figured if I could find 93 octane anywhere around here I would use it. My question is: I found some 93 octane at our Sinclair stations here in Boise but on the pumps it also says "Clean air friendly, gas is 10% ethanol" I was just wondering If that is just a normal additive that they are bragging about, or if it makes it less suitable for the audi. I cant seem to find any other stations that have 93 octane here (I've checked Chevron, Shell / Texaco ) with no luck. Any imput would be appreciated on which gas I should be putting in my baby
Thanks in Advance
Drew

Sometimes the octane is not the sole determining factor.
I like to run gas with as less detergents/oxygenates as possible.
Ethanol is an oxygenate.
I dont know you if you have but BP 92 octane is the best around here. I even buy non-oxy from BP every once and a while
