2.8 quattro performance suggestions
"well if your looking for a performance upgrade you could always swap out the cams and do a large bore throttle body and some headers and exhaust "
Do any of you know what company makes a large bore throttle body for the 2.8... I have a 2001 30v and i'd appreciate the help

pictures are good, the only pictures i have of my car is when it was stock, a long time ago since then i lost my camera in a fire and really havent had any time and money to buy a new one, but for you man i guess i will because i do need some new pictures, and also i have to use Imageshack lol because i had a server with my racing website on it but thats down at this moment also, im in a money situation here theres alot of stuff going on lol so if you wanna see the stock pictures then by all means just ask
Its really not a hard thing to get that 12v up to speed, the only real thing you need to do when you start to get speed is lower that compression and of course lowering compression will lower HP so make sure you have something to make up for that HP loss
, and your good until i think about 280 or 300HP without any other internals the 1998 v6 30vs can handle about 370 with no internals, my friend has a AWD 1998 30V V6 with that STS turbo that has up to 350HP to the crank, and nothing has happen to it as far as his transmission blew out like a month ago. Yes there is still hope for the 1996's lol people are just slow at making parts for it because people prolly dont use the 96s as racing cars often
And for your 2001 Audi, like they do make a whole lot more parts for 2001 Audi V6s then they do the 1996's but throttle bodys im not sure of, they normaly make them none engine kinda parts ya know? like intakes, injectors, fuel rail simple stuff like that
i say goto www.ecstuning.com they have a good amount of parts for Audis that really caught my eye when i went there.
that would be a good thing, if they made performance cams for 1996's which they dont and throttle body and headers they dont
only the OEM ones you can buy lol, exhaust some people do make like vibrent or whatever their name, makes a exhaust for the 96 A4's or you can customize one. to tell you the truth they dont make crap for the 96s to actually get some power needed lol
on that note, one of my friends told me the RS6 or RS4 one of them i think like the 2000's they said the headers on those will fit and can replace the headers on a 1996's Audi A4, but thats just rumor i dont know if its true :P

the 2.8 isnt that bad at all, put some coil overs on it and have fun in the corners, where the 1.8 are waiting for there turbos to spool! Jk guys the 2.8 isreliableand still fun, add some nitrous if you want the engine will not blow up like is common perception!

Still no answers about that throttle body... Anybody know of any for the 2001 a4... or is it worth having the old one sent out this winter to be worked a little bit (or as much as it will allow) ...
nobody makes a larger throttle body, you gotta do it on your own... get a dremel and go to work lol... or just take it somewhere, im sure it wouldnt cost more than 100-200.. its all labor charges, about a 1-2 hour job, $75/hr... do the math

with enough money you can make any car fast, the german in general are old school, suspension over engine. the 2.8 is really just for taking corners hard and having fun in a parking lot or adverse conditions. no striaghtline performance. although if you remove the speed limiter you can
easily hit 150mph
