2000 1.8t, would you buy if you didn't no if timing belt was replaced?
This forum is hurting my brain a little. I am researching pro's, con's, issues with a4's and audi's in general. and while most of the people here love the cars, they all keep talking about how many problems they have to fix with them? i get regular oil changes and fluid flushes, but there are so many problems with late 90's models it seems.
I'd make them work on that price. I just ran the auction numbers for similiar cars and they probably don't have that much in the carand people aren't running out to buy cars with 127K. Make them fix all the issues and change the TB and waterpump and then you will consider it. I am a car guy so it would be a no brainer of buying an Audi or a Civic. Remember a car purchase is only second to a home purchase so buy something you enjoy and want to drive. I drive about 30K a year so I want to be in something I enjoy.
