i would like to know if it is possible to damage the retainers which hold radio in to dash.
i want to fit a dension ipod kit.so i got the four removal keys of ebay first to see if i could have a look behind radio to check things out.
the keys are flimsy but i eventually got head out by having to pull radio out by cassete slot.
now the dension kit as arrived the keys will not do the job and i have to keep pulling them in and out and radio still will not budge.
have i worn the catchs away.
i have read that you can use screw drivers,any help would be great.

Lol I pull mine out by the cassett slot all the time and it hasnt seemed to hurt it at all, other than that I guess you could get some factory keys but id just do the tape thing

Even factory keys do that sometimes. The keys arent bad and the locks arent broken. Using the cassette slot works good. You can also use a hook to grab the radio at the top.
