Dont know if anyone can help me - Audi certainly dont seem to be able to.
Bought an 18 month old A4 S Line 4 years ago from Waltham Audi - no issues until nearing its 3 year warranty, when I get intermittent whining noises thru speakers, made louder when headlights are on. Because intermittent, both Waltham and Amersham Audi (my local) have checked the wiring loom but found nothinhg obvious, and inevitably when I have taken it in, demonstrating the noise, it suddenly stops. Can be either a constant buzz, with different volume levels, or include a whine that is in sync with the revs. Can be aggravated by a bump in the road, but can also start first thing in the morning when the car has been standing still all night.
One technician said that there had been reported issues with Sat Nav systems that had caused "feedback" problems. Another said that to solve the problem I would have to replace the entire ICE system - cost £3k? Have even written to Head Office without any luck.
Anyone got a clue?
