Ok Airbag light !!, I go to the Garage they do 1 1/2 hours work and still the module is u/s and the light is on, apparantly the "New" one I was sold is from a crashed car and the computer comes up "crash data stored" and will not re-set. Now the Geezer who sold it to me still maintains it was new but claims he has one from a crashed car and it it said the same and he got it re-set. So, is there anywhere that can re-set this module am I going to have to bite the bullit and pay £600 for a brand spankers one ?

cheers Andy

Don't know if it can be re-set with a vagcom or not. Perhaps check with Ross-tech. If so, find someone with the requisite VAG-com and registered programming.

E-Mailed Ross-Tech, the problem I am having with my "new" module is a non starter it has to be replaced, butm I have found a guy in Germany who for £60 repairs/re-sets the module, so I think I'll send off my Origional module for repair and see how I go. Does anyone know if these can be repaired ?

Let us know how it holds up in a while. If this guy is good, perhaps Jest can add him to the list of resources.

Good luck

Getting it re-installed on the 1st of Sept so will let you know, also I have found on Ebay a Draper tool for re-setting Audi dash lights that plugs in like the vag-com for £30, I suggest you all buy one I am.

Ok just to let you all know, my airbag light is now out !!!!, but the draper tool I told you about didn't work for me, it only goes up to a 98 model. But the guy in Germany is great £60 rather than Audi's £680, going by his feedback on E-Bay it's 100%, also he gives you a refund if it doesn't work.

His website is www.airbagnews.com

hope you all get sorted

Andy
