My airbag light came on the other day and won't go away. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is it just a sensor or could it be the whole airbag?

 

if you dont have a vag-com then you have to go to the dealer to get it reset, it may or may not come back on.

 

I did mine twice already, you can scan it with an obd II and get the code. clear the code and the start the car and see if it comes back.

 

i have a weird problem where when it is below freezing (in the 20's) when i start my car the airbag light is on, after a minute or so it spurraticly flashes, then goes away, really weird.

 

grounding problem, remove the ground wire from the battery then clean all ground wire connections, possibly a battery to engine chassis or engine ground problem grease or copper slip connections, the temp should not have any effect on the airbag system this could be a recall issue

 

I just this happen to me a couple of days ago as well.

Plugged in my VAGCOM and there were no error codes stored.
