Default airbag light/apparent misfire

hello im new to audi's, i just bought a 96 audi a4 2.8 v6 fwd and when i bought it i had a few things to maintinence, brakes were done, oil pres sensor was changed, power steering pump replaced, and i had replaced all the LED's in the cluster as well, replacing the led's is where the problem began, since doing that my airbag light remains illuminated for about 1-2 minute and then will turn off, i am guessing its becuase the cluster was unplugged and now it needs to be cleared by the vag unit, if anyone can confirm please do so, as well i drove the car from california to oregon a few days after and during the drive about 8 hours deep the car would start cuttin in and out but rather quickly, the rpms on the gauge wouldnt drop but i didnt have a chance to really get it into neutral to see if it actually is stalling out but when gettin on the throttle there would be nothing at all but would only last about 2-3 seconds and then come right back on, at one point it had got pretty bad happenin every 5-10 minutes so i pulled off the freeway made a wild guess of some electrical piece of the system gettin hot and contacts not makin good connection and pulled into denny's and ate lunch and gave the car a good hour long rest, after that it got back on the freeway and was perfect all the way to redding, next morning i start in again on the final leg to portland and the car drives great until about 5 hours in, then once again the problem started but only happened 1-2 times during the entire trip as that leg is only about 7 hrs, so from my inital diagnosis im guessin the coils are takin a **** as it seems totally related to how long the part is working for, if you guys can give me an idea if this might be correct or if there is a more common underlyin issue that would be great, sorry for such the long post but i feel all the information given is pertanint to the issue of the car and will help in leading to the solution of my issue, thanks
