I believe ImolaS4 posted a thing on this.

Turn the key till all the electric comes on (don't start the car). wait for 2 minutes. turn it all the way off, then start the car.

Good call David, I hadn't thought about that. Come to think, the dealer had the battery disconnected when they serviced it. I woudn't be surprised if they failed to do that. It's fine now. Maybe I went through the sequence T posted by coincidence. Well, that and the cracked plug problem.

 

No it goes away after a day. its just the computer trying to relearn the engine

 

Makes sense, after I had the mass airflow meter replaced it took a while to adjust the long term fuel trim. I had been running lean.
