How did they know you had the mod done?? How exactly did you do it, because i didnt know it would work the same way with a 2.8??? Does the air box on the 2.8 sit on the wheel liner??

 

i dont think he failed a visual.. he might have somehow failed the actual emissions check.. he could be running rich or lean or something.. he should have given more info

 

Guys come on it's obvious he is a hater cuz that was his first and only post...........stupid **** don't realize that in order to fail any visual you would have to look into the fender from the outside of the car. Last I checked they only look in the engine bay

 

my bad on not giving more info. even if the mod is for 1.8T. I didnt know. The airbox is exactly lined up like the pictures shown and it only took half an hour to do. with a K&N air filter it is increased air flow and sound. No one said it was just for 1.8T's. I guess I just didnt do my homework. Anyway about the failed inspection i went to a different place and it passed. The first place said my check engine light was coming up, but since bought the car a few months ago I have never seen it come on.

 

and to Beer Mod, I am not a ****ing hater, whatever that might be. Get serious and stop bashing people who are new to euro tuning.

 

Them don't come on here bashing the mod by saying it caused you to fail inspection you dumb dick [X(]

 

Confused? I got 2.8, is it bad idea to preform this modification
