I did this, my holes aren't quite as huge in the fender and i haven't put a screen over it yet. But it rained a lot and no problems out here. filter was completely dry! It sounds awesome too with my awe borla v2

Newbie question-

Did I miss a step, or does the negative battery cable need to be removed for a few minutes to reset the computer once the mod is done or does the computer recalibrate without resetting by killing the battery feed?

I would say that isn't too good of an idea, what about water that splashes up into the airbox? I got water in my cone filter one time due to a big flood and the car was studdering and not performing well at all. I had to let it dry out for a day or two, it was a big pain. Let me know if it does work well in rain if anyone has encountered it, i am curious to know.

 

dude...have you not read the other million posts on water....so far..from what ive read is that no one has had any issue.....



i plan to do this next weekend.....is removing the airbox any harder than a few screws....?

OK, I think I am going to do this mod this weekend. I keep reading about adding a K&N Filter in .... where does this go? Are we talking about filter located by Front Window???

Or throwing a filter in by airbox?
