Big Brake Advice
Doesn't work that way in terms of the parts...and you can buy arear brake kit,if you must, but it would be a waste of money. You do not need to upgrade your rear brakes, period.Has nothing to do with keeping the car "balanced." All carsare biasedto have more braking power up front than in the rear...you're not going to throw anything out of whack byadding a bit more braking powerto thefrontof astock car (which I'm guessing yours is).

so i can't do anything for the rears? that sucks. i mean even just to keep the car more balanced. seems like i should be able to do something with my left over front parts.

It's REALLY not worth it unless you're doing lots of racing (on a roadcourse that loves to give you brake fade).
Just get some nice pads, SS lines, and the a8 upgrade in the front.
I thought this was very well put.....
Unless you get your so desired 2.7T swap and rs4/6 upgrade.... THEN you can look into upgrading the rears along with the fronts. Increasing the fronts will make a much larger improvement than increasing the rears. With big fronts and with stock vs big rears, your probably only looking at < 1' of stopping length for the hundreds spent.
