[:@] i replaced the vac line today and it didnt fix the problem. im still gettinig the slight honking sound from the DV too. this is so annoying.

 

so one day i had no boost and i was lke what the f**k. system was holding pressure and seemed to be fine (no codes) this went on for 2 days till i finally decided to pull my turbo took 2 hours damnit just to get out.

Guess what i found

4 large cracks
one of witch was located inbetween the exhaust/intake going from the pressure relese valve to exhaust.

so i put it all back together and like magic 2 days later i got boost back
i think since i was leaking boost sooo much that the car was running very very rich (black smoke) and built up carbon in the crack thus seeling it to give me boost once again.
i wish i would of taken pictures.
hope this isn't the oucome of what is happening to you.
oh when i pulled the turbo there is an adjustment screw for the boost release. check the adjustment of this valve this could be a reason your loosing boost.

idea...could my wasteage be acting up or my n75 valve? as far as i know, they are both original and it has 106k miles on it

 

Well i have had the same problems as you since i bought my car....i had to replace my wastegate just to get boost....i now have the giac chip, forge 007, and i spike to about 20 or so, then by 5k im back down to 15, and by redline im back down to 8 to 10psi....i also have a n75j on it....what do you think? same problem?

 

i just had the same exact problem and it ended up being my wastegate on my k04 and on my 98 the wastegate went at 107k with the stock turbo, when it goes you will not boost above 10psi

 

i boost over 10 psi now, but at redline it falls back down to 10 or under.....what is my problem?

 

well the k03 should boost any higher then liek 12-15 after 4k and it hsould be 8-10 at redline

my problems are all betwen 3 and 4k

this is really pissin me off. when i mash itand it hits 20 ish more like 18 now, but instantly drops to 14, and thats only if i go from no throttle to full. it doesnt happen if its been full and gradualyl building. then it just...stopps at 14. but when i do that, i feel that little surge from 18 psi of boost and i want that moreee...this is pissin me off. any help would be greatly appriciated people
