can someone tell me whats that cable hanging or where does it go?

looks to be for a block heater to help with those cold morning starts not very good pics though

nope - its the outside temperature thermometer. It should have a plastic clip that uses the same screw that keeps the oil cooling line in place.

you're going to need to get underneath your car. just look up there and you'll see it.
