fact is if you chip the engine to produce more force it will reduce the expectancy of your engine and gearbox which should be expected, more oil and filter changes lowers this risk but the life expectancy of parts will be reduced and easily replaced

Dude my car has 90,000 miles, 60 of which were chipped and to this day I have never had a single transmission related problem. And I drive like an idiot. Dont worry about it

So your advising ppl not to chip their cars. If so, you're the first I've heard thats against it, and I completely disagree.

no I'm not advising people not to chip their cars but that's my choice I'm just giving the facts on what happens and the consequences of their actions and possible loss of value of the car because of it, personally I don't give a ****

Give me the name of one person who has had their tranny "die" or "dropout" cause of just a chip. It is totally untrue. Many people run k04s, pc-16, front mount, exhaust, full nine yards and dont have a problem. Your torque converter isnt going to let the necessary power it would take to destroy your tranny get to it if it even got to that point to begin with. Shh shh. Chip the crap outa your car man. Go GIAC cause your gonna want more and all your gonna be able to get it a k04. Peace
