Well today was a pretty bad day. I wake up and head to my car to find that some d*ckless piece of sh*t smashed out my windshield. To make things worse i started driving my car and it was making some weird ticking noise coming from the front right side of the car. It sounded like something was hitting the wheel. I had a similar problem before when the heat shield was rubbing on the drive shaft so i took it over to a friends shop and put it up on the lift. Looked around it for about 10 min and didn't find anything wrong. Then i had my friend spin the wheel and still didn't hear the noise so i figure good it went away. Backed out of the shop and heard it again! Its no the brakes, and the cv's are fine...i can figure it out.


Well on the plus side, i did ace my operating systems test.

 

put it on the lift and put it in gear and accelerate.. see if you can hear the noise that way

 

Are you sure that there isn't anything stuck in the tread like a rock or glass or nail? That's what I would guess if you can determine what side it is on and only happens while the tire is rotating.

 

well the thing is itdoes whetherim in gear or not. whats strange is i dont hear it untill im < 2 mph. all try it tomarrow though.

Redgoat. i can clearly hear it inside the car. it sounds like something is rubbing on the body. i see your point though but its more a dullticking (if there is such a thing).
