I need some major help with finding out what is wrong with my car...in the mornings especially cold ones and even warmer ones the damn car is very very slow to take off from a dead stop. there is no problems with starting or anything like that. but this morning i started it and the check engine light turned on and the car would barely move. i would floor the gas pedal and nothing. but the yellow engine light with the lighning bolt in it was flashing. anyone have any ideas or has this ever happened to people.....ive heard of this limp mode thing but there was no messages in the instrument panel. help please.

 

ur misfiring what plugs are u runing? if ur not runing ngk bkr6e or bkr7e plugs go get em. gap em to .032 for non chipped .028 for chipped. u might even need new coil packs. the flashin check engine light is indicatin that ur engine is misfiring more than likely **** id pu tmoney on it...lol

I was reading around and notice a couple of other cars are acting the same exact way...could this problem be a bad coil pack or something worse. Im not to familiar with the audi engines yet, is the coil pack the same as it is in other vehicles such as a black square thing the the spark plug wires plug into, in everyones experience how much will this set a person back to replace.
