New to this board. Hello all. Have a 2002 A4 1.8 wagon with 48,000.00 on it. Today while sitting in traffic in Boston I started smelling a sulfur like smell. I though it was just the traffic, smells of Big Dig construction etc. I shut of my AC rolled the windows down and could smell smoke. My temp gauge was fine and no other indicators were going off. I then saw smoke. I pulled over and shut the car off to let it cool. I then drove to my work which was about a mile and a 1/2 away. I opned the hood and checked the coolant. It was way over the min/max line, closer to max. How do i reduce the coolant level? THanks
