On my 2000 A4, the digital dash display is almost completely burnt out and now a warning light is coming up. I can't make out what it is, but it has a yellow background. I checked all the fluids and lights and they are fine. I have no idea what it could be. I don't have the owner's manual. Does anyone know off hand which warning lights have a yellow background?

 

In your manual it should say that any light with yellow background is a second priority. Add some washer fluid , and see what happens
