Default Doing the clutch this week....

So after the quote I recieved to do front wheel bearings I figured I might as well not even bother getting a qoute for replacing the clutch... so I'm going to do it myself. Wish me luck....

If anyone has any advice please post up. Any special tools I'll need? I'm figuring this should take me the rest of the week.

Fiveand a half hours in and I've got the tranny out. Good thing too. Two days ago I started hearing a strange noise that seemed to come and go when it pleases. Found part of the clutch came apart and was cutting a grove into the bell housing.

Unfortunatly I do not have a lift and I'm using a Hanes manual... so really I don't think I'm doing too bad so far. Interesting thing is the manual says to remove the cat and downpipe, but mine were so rusty I decided to try to avoid doing that. So far so good, didn't need to remove it, although it would have made things a bit easier if I had. I think now that I have more room in there to work I may take the exhaust off to allow easier reinstallation of the tranny. A lift would have cut my time in half... maybe some day I'll have one of those.

I do have all new bolts and I'm planning on having the flywheel resurfaced tomorrow. New tires are on their way and hope have it back on the road by Saturday. I might take some pics tomorrow- anything anybody wants to see?
