A daily driver will destroy a garage queen anyday. When I had a 98 Trans Am LS1 I beat the hell out of the car and the car actually got faster I swear and I have dragtimes to prove it and I did no new modifications. I raced everyone and anyone who wanted some even if it was a POS civic with a bodykit the car as a result ran like a race car it was in race mode everytime I drove it. The car never broke down once, I dont know if its the same for all cars or maybe I was just blessed with a "factory freak" because I was beating cars the same as mine by many car lengths it was not my driving skill because the car was an automatic. But who knows how these things happen.

I've owned many bikes and they're the same way, even though thats odd for an Auto to stan up 2 that beating as the LS1 is a powerful car, even compared 2 a bike.

From what I have heard is that some LS1 heads where scratched during manufacturing so instead of GM throwing them out they where Ported (bored) out so some LS1's out there have larger ported (bored) heads therefor the are considered "factory freaks" because they produce more power through increased airflow than they should. Other manfactures proabably do the same thing in the rare case of a scratched head.

some of my friends have the same audi's as me and all of our cars have similar mods and run differently... mine for an example is 3 lengths faster than a straight piped, intake, testpipe 99.5 1.8t with less miles than mine. i believe that running hard breaks the engine in and allows it to rev faster and ultimately be faster...
