Default Dual Rear Fogs

So I'm trying to get it so I can have dual rear foglights. I'm not going to use them for their intended purpose but only when there are those complete a-holes who are tailgaiting me at night with their high beams on. So I dremeled out the top hole for the bulb and tossed a new one in, flip on the rear fog switch, and...

NOTHING! The rear left fog turns on but not the right one. I've read up on a bunch of people who have just rounded out the socket and then get a bulb and it turns on. I'm not sure what's up but if anyone has any suggestions let me hear 'em.

I don't use dual rear fog but I took out the right side once, put in a bulb and it worked fine.

I think it could be a wiring problem on yours, which I am not familiar with.

in the UK its normal to have both fogs and simple to fit if you don't ( the wiring is already there ) all you need is the bulb and plug

qUaTtRoA4:
I am just looking to bring on the right hand side fog light. Not trying to do the whole super duper rear brake lights mod as those links show.

techbod:
I know it's supposed to be just that simple and that is what I have done. I just put a bulb in and it didn't turn on with the rear fog turned on.

the rear fogs have a complete unit and the wiring should be there to plug in but failing that its a 2 wire thing to connect the left with the right and all you need is the bulb plug in and the Audi 90 has that

So I just went out and checked for which wire I have power from. When you look at the entire module with the plug at the bottom the only wire from which I have power is the 2nd from the left. Which goes in conjuction with the other brake light mods. So are most people just able to put a bulb in and then it comes right on?
