Haha oh man, I wouldn't ever do that. Part of the reason I want a new intake right now is for the sound. I mean, I'd do it eventually, but I'm diggin' the Star-Trek noises that sound like I'm shooting photon lasers when I accelerate.

Actually that sound is only audible when you let off the gas after boosting hard [8D]
Ive been there though with an intake and Forge splitter for the sound. I grew to like a more stealthy ride, especially when Im only working with around 200 hp. Youve gotta be able to backup thesound of big power with actual big power imo.

Get one of those audizine heat shields too.
This isnt a N/A car LOL. The temp out of the turbo will be basically the same, heat sheild or not. Add in the ic and your going to be at the same iat.

That's what the GT28RS is for! [8D]

The "audizine heat shield" is for 1.8T's.

i have the Carbonio and love it. if you have the money to spend get it. it sounds good, looks great and I stand by it whne i say i actually did feel a little bit of difference. it was the first mod i did and have not regretted it since. However, with that said. it was a gift and i probably would have gone the cheaper route if i had to pay for it myself. I do love it though!

Hey, it's your money, get the one you want for the reasons you want it. My opinion on it though? Screw the Carbonio - wayyyy too damn much for something that doesn't give any more gain than any other intake, while still costing 2-5 times as much. Seems the extra cash could be put to use toward other mods, but it IS your car and your money. I'll give it one thing - it does look good and I haven't heard one before but I'd hope that if it's not gonna kick the output any higher, it should at least sound ballsy. Won't be finding one in my car though
