Flat tire...
I have often had flat tyres. The repair garage will either replace the valve, or pull the nail from the tyre and put in a plug. Only if the tyre is slashed (by a knife) does the tyre need to be changed. (at least in europe). In fact u can now buy ur own repair kits. No need a new tyre.
It turns out there was a hole in the sidewall, and it was unable to be repaired. They told me that my current tires were within the 2/32nds of an inch allowance for difference in diameter, so I just had them replace the 2 front ones with new tires of the exact same model. What a pain in the ***...plus now they got me roped into an alignment, which they say should be done once a year and I dont remember ever doing...not to mention my brake pads are squeeling and the brake pad light is on in the dash for brakes that are about 13 months old...Oh ya, and I have to do the 75k service according to my dealer.
You dont need an alignment unless the alignment was off before.
Dont let them ream you like that! Its bullshit! Tell them to replace and balance the tires, no warrany crap, no alignment.
And, DIY the brake pads it not hard to do at all, you'll save big $$$

Ya, I ended up skipping the alignment...he did kinda sound full of it, maybe mad that he had to stay at work an extra hour cuz of me the night before...as for the brakes, I paid a pretty penny for them last november, and they claimed they got them from the audi dealer, but I have never heard of "quality" brakes lasting for 14 months (especially since I try to downshift alot when I slow down), so Im going back to the place it was done and see what they say...
