The rods are connected by 2 bolts, forget what fitting. Crank can be access from underneith with the oilpan removed. Just disconnect them from the bottom and push the up through the top. 034 only sells Scat rods, you need IE (intergrated engineering) rods. They make 19mm pin rods and so does Pauter, but those are $1k.

Awesome, i figured thats what i had to do. If you dont mind me asking, could i have a readers digest version of what a SCAT rod is? Not understanding the diff. is it a compression change? I checked google but its useless.

Also, why are the IE's so much cheaper then everything else i have run into?

Scat is a company and makes the 144/20mm pin H-beam rods where IE makes them for 144/19mm rods since no one else really did. Both are in the $350 range where Carrillo and Pauters are $800-1200. The scat and ie rods will be fine for cars making in the 600whp range where the others car probably hold in the 800whp+ range. The only downside to the ie rods is that you have a weaker 19mm pin where the AEB/ATC/AWD/225's all use 20mm pin pistons that are a little stronger. There have been a good amount of people running IE rods and making 400-500whp already.

Do you suggest honing the cylinder on my own? Also, how hard is it to drop the oil pan?

i would let a machine shop do it personally. Dropping the pas shouldnt be to hard. Auditech79 should know the preceedure off the top of his head
