Default HELP! Limp mode, car running like shi*

Ok so first off my car is a 01 a4 1.8t q m, i have a n75 J valve, K&n panel filter, and Forge DV, boost gauge, otherwise stock AWM.

the problem is when i get on it at all really the engine will go up to about 15-16# then cut back to 5 or so, then im stuck in limp mode where about 7-9# is the maximum i can reach with heavy fuel usage. So something keeps sending my ecu into safe mode. i just removed my test pipe to drop my boost down a bit to hopefully solve the problem, but no luck. every time i reset the ecu and get on it, it will hold at 15# for a couple seconds then cut. when i lived at a higher elevation(thinner air) the engine never hit limp mode, now at sea level it seems i can't keep it out of limp mode. my idle vacuume sits at about 17-20.

could a bad connection on the MAF cause problems? the connector on my MAF is a little funky, could that cause this?

Im getting new plugs tomorrow, maybe a colder plug will help.

i mean for a basically stock car this is some bullshit. im not getting any CELs.

what else might be the problem?

Is there anyone in the South LA/ Beach cities area with a Vag Com or other reader?

one more thing. im thinking i might just be getting some wattered down gas, so where is a good place to buy gas from in the socal area? i have been buying from arrco. any reccomendations? anywhere sell 93? thanks

any ideas or suggestions are appriciated. thanks

Do a search for Steve Hall Vag-Com Locator.

Read your spark plugs before changing the heat range.
