Generics are typically a bad idea. At least tell me you are going to solder it?

MAN THAT WAS THE BIGGES WASTE OF MONEY !!!... i got rid of the sensor error code but so what, im still getting the other error code, even after taking it for a spin for 10 minutes, surely the cpu will adapt by then


00561 - Mixture Adaptation
14-00 - Adaptation Limit (Add) Exceeded

which is the main one i wanna get rid off, its the only error code i have, and cant get rid of it, my cars making a unburnt fueel smell still...

well i cleared the codes in last hope, this morning, ive been driving since then which is a few hours, and have had no fault codes returned,i hope it stays this way, ive noticed the smell is alot less and the fuel consumption is much better... finger crossed..

Should be OK.

when your 0x sensor starts to deteriorate, the ECM compensates by changing the lambda. When the 02 sensor dies, the compensation limit of the car is exceeded and it says that the compenstions is out of range.

Out of interest, I see that ECS is selling a VW 02 sensor for about 30 dollars. Has anyone tried it?
