If youre dating a mechanic, why not ask himto look at it? He should want to make sure you have safe/reliable transportation.

I probably will ask him to look at it, but I feel weird about it...I don't like asking him for those kinds of favors even though it's tempting. If there does turn out to be a problem that requires attention, he won't let me pay him for fixing it and I'm not okay with that. Hopefully, it's nothing, and the tech was drinking his lunch.
