At long last! The timeless 1.8T vs. 2.8 argument has, as of this thread, been REPLACED with the new 2.0T vs. 3.2 argument!! Huzzah!!

About to order a PCV Valve. Before I do, I just want to make sure this is the right one. Thanks everyone!

Damn, I bought my 2.0T yesterday, what the hell is going on here. Anyways, I had a 2.0 8v MKIV and thats all I could afford. Now I can afford a bit better and I was looking for info on a simple upgrade. First...Intake, who,how much, where or is it worth it at all. I need a first step. Peace... Id like to get 5-10hp somehow.

Get a chip. It's the best bang for your buck. They start around $550 depending on which company you go with. Gives the car a nice kick in the pants. I've had mine for two days and love it. The power is there when you need it, but you can still it drive it normally. Like on the highway, you have the ability to weave in and out of traffic much easier b/c you have wayy more power. A chip makes the car have as much horsepower as a Subi Legacy GT spec B, but almost 50 ft lbs more torque. That's the best comparison you could make.

Maybe I missed something, but why do you need a new pcv valve? Your DV is fine. The diaphragm isnt weak. Lots of people have chipped 2.0T's without an upgraded DV, and for that matter,I dont think I have ever seen a post regarding a problem with the stock dv. Of course ECS tuning will tell you how every part they sell is better and upgraded, and convince you how problematic your car is so you buy their stuff. Beware of ECS Tuning's product descriptions. More than half the time they are exagerated.
