hello everyone, i have searched on here and google but found nothing similar to my issues. i have a 2000 audi a4 quattro 1.8t and i was driving today when suddenly while accelerating the car boggs then shuts off, so i pulled over and tried to restart, its had a rough start, idled weird between 500-800 rpm then dies. but if i give it a lil gas and hold , it runs fine, but if i give it too much gas it boggs again, i was able to drive it home but had to give a lot of gas and burn my clutch a bit but i got it home, there no c.e.l. if i turn it on and rev the engine for a bit and slowly let it go back down to idle, it will run fine but the sec. i touch the gas pedal it dies. anybody got any ideas. have this issue before?

 

UPDATE!!! i left the car alone for about 4 hours and then went to start it and it ran fine, but when i test drove it, it would idle real low and almost die. but also dies here n there, im not sure whats going on. im lost
