I went to change my chip from stock to a mika tuned chip and I think I set off the immobilizer because it turns on revs to about 2000 then dies. Anybody know anything?

You don't have immoblizer on your car. There would be a picture of a yellow car in your cluster flashing when you tried to start the car if it were equipped. Plus the first year they used immobilizer on an A4 was i think late 02 or 03.
