As far as i know only the 2002 and newer have the transmitter in thefront bumper area. Before that all of the electronics were in the visor itself, which only needed a power and ground to operate properly.

There is a write up on AW in the eectronics section.

It's plug and play...and the sensors and **** are in the visor itself.

If it's really important to you, you can order it from Audi for ~$400 according to the write up/

sarcasm?

I personally don't think it's worth 400 bucks. And I was wrong, my defenition of plug and play includes splicing wires, so it requires a tiny bit of work.

yes sarcasm..

400 dollars is rediculous

With that kind of money you could just save up a little more and get a really nice mod.

I have one and its cool..but for $400..i wouldnt even think of getting one if i didnt have it

I agree.

For $400, I can keep the remote in the car.

If I found the visor for 50 bucks, I might do it, but probably wouldn't do it either way.

I'd like to do it, but also not for $400.
