Ok so i finally got my fmic install on my car but when installing it i noticed the kit wanted me to connect the turbo outlet hose to the passenger side fmic tubing with a silicone coupler. I did this and when i went to test drive my car after the install the hose from the turbo outlet blew right off of the silicone coupler after only hitting about 2 psi. I was wondering if connecting a rubber hose to a aluminum pipe with a coupler was safe and if so what is the best and most proper way to do it? Personally I dont trust silcone voupler clamped down onto a silicone hose. A friend of mine told me to spray hair spray on the outside of the turbo outlet hose where ill be putting the coupler over then clamped it down after its been sprayed. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

ok so if im reading this right you are trying to connect the hose that comes of the turbo to the coupler running to your fmic? if thats the case the turbo hose should be smaller that the coupling. what i did is went to the auto parts store bought a little pipe maybe 4" long that went from the diamiter of like 2.5" to like 2 or something. this is what you need to do if im describing it right. so to sum it up you would be inserting a pipe inside that 2 hoses and clamping it down rather than clamping one hose on to another.

 

Also flaring the ends of that pipe mentioned above will help prevent the hoses from blowing off in the future.

 

yep ^ great suggestion, i took all my pipes to a welding shop and had him weld a bead on a ll the lips and i have not had any trouble since then.
