I talked to Eric at Supreme PowerParts about a month ago about the intercooler you are talking about -http://www.supremepowerparts.com/applications/1997-2001_Audi_A4_Quattro_1.8T.aspx/1/4859/_SPP_RaceTecEngineering_Front_Mount_Intercooler_B5/url

He said that you could expect to see a .3 bar pressure drop. So if I am spiking around 18 and holding around 16, what would my psi look like with a .3 pressure drop?

.3 bar is almost 4.5 psi. Not cool.

you shouldnt see more than a psi or 2 from that kit, the piping is 2" and the core is also. Most claim a good amount of torque increase when they install a fmic and you will keep performace instead of heatsoaking the ic after a few hard pulls.

i dont see any real negatives about that kit. If you ever go bigger, you and just get a thicker core.
