Default interesting idea

Turbo on 99.5 1.8 is broken (chipped blade?). Audi will replace it under the 7 year warranty (in California) if the turbo failure either makes the CEL come on, or makes the car fail a smog check. Is there anyway I can make either of these happen? (I'm desperate)

Will putting leaded gas in my car permentently ruin anything on the car (don't care if it ruins the turbo, but anything else)?

Remove the clamp from the exhaust side so the return leaks.

Then put it back on after you get the CEL.

That's the only idea I have that might work.
